ORGANICS BEST Review - Beware- RELABELED - Paid a Premium for UK Kendamil — Not What I Expected

Rant / Vent 🫠

I am extremely disappointed with my purchase from Organic’s Best. I specifically paid approximately $67 per can for Kendamil Goat because I believed I was purchasing the UK product, not something that closely resembles the Kendamil Goat I can purchase at Walmart in the United States for considerably less.

After receiving the formula, I immediately noticed significant differences compared with Kendamil Goat that I previously purchased from Europe and had shipped from Belgium.

The can from Organic’s Best had a different lid and scoop, and the powder itself was noticeably different. My European/UK Kendamil Goat has a very fine, uniform powder. The Organic’s Best formula is noticeably coarser and grainier and looks much more similar in texture to the U.S.-market Kendamil Goat sold at Walmart.

What concerned me even more was the packaging. I discovered that the UK labeling on the Organic’s Best can was an outer label/wrap. After carefully removing it, the underlying can and packaging were extremely similar to the U.S.-market Kendamil can.

I initially became concerned that the product might be counterfeit. After researching the issue extensively, I learned that Kendamil has acknowledged using supplemental European manufacturing for some UK Goat formula because of increased demand, including a manufacturing partner involved with products for overseas markets. So I am not accusing Organic’s Best of selling counterfeit formula.

My complaint is different: I paid a substantial premium because I wanted the traditional UK/European Kendamil Goat product and believed that was what I was purchasing. What I received looks, feels, and is packaged very differently from the traditional UK/European product I already have.

The Organic’s Best can says “UK RECIPE — developed in the UK.” That wording is important because a recipe being developed in the UK is not necessarily the same thing as the formula being manufactured in the UK.

I have compared the products side by side. I have photographs of the Organic’s Best can, the U.S. Walmart can, and a European Kendamil Goat can shipped to me from Belgium. I also photographed the powders side by side and documented the label underneath the removable outer packaging. The differences are clearly visible.

Had I known beforehand that the Kendamil Goat I received could come from this newer supplemental production and would differ so significantly in appearance, texture and packaging from the traditional UK/European Kendamil Goat I was expecting, I would not have paid $67 per can.

When parents are purchasing infant formula—especially imported formula at a significant premium—the exact version, country of manufacture, and production source should be disclosed clearly before purchase. “UK recipe” should not leave customers assuming that they are necessarily receiving the traditional UK-manufactured product.

For me, this isn’t simply about packaging. I specifically paid a premium because I cared about the source of the formula I was feeding my baby. Customers deserve enough information to make that decision before spending substantially more for an imported product.

Very disappointing experience. I would not purchase this formula from Organic’s Best again unless they clearly disclose where the specific product being shipped was actually manufactured and which production version customers will receive. SITE Address: https://organicsbestshop.com/

"Trusted manufacturing partner" is also not UK made
