Send WoM as soon as possible! 2022/2023 filers!
To everyone who filed in 2022 or 2023 and is still stuck: seriously consider filing a Writ of Mandamus (WoM) as soon as you reasonably can.
USCIS is already approving plenty of 2026-filed cases, while many older 2022/2023 cases are still sitting there with no meaningful movement.
If you think, “Maybe they’ll eventually get to my case,” remember: there is no guarantee that waiting quietly will move an old case to the front. You could spend the rest of 2026 waiting—and potentially still be waiting in 2027.
Once your case gets buried at the bottom of the pile, who is actually going to pull it out?
Nobody cares about your case as much as you do.
If you've already tried inquiries, congressional assistance, service requests, etc., and your case has been unreasonably delayed, talk to an immigration attorney about WoM or research whether filing one makes sense for your situation.
Don't assume USCIS will suddenly remember your case just because it's older.
2022/2023 filers: push your case. Don't let it sit in a cabinet forever.
