Need stock option planning advice
Long story short I worked in a fintech and have some equity banked in vested stock options that are set to expire at the end of the month. I'm able to pull together some money to purchase them/cover the taxes. Though that would be the entirety of my life savings. I'm not financially literate enough to understand the risks vs potential and entirety of what i'm getting myself into.
What I can say is I have about 10,000 options at a $4 strike price with a current evaluation of $15 and an impending IPO that feels like it might come in the next year or two (but who really knows right?)
I think I'll need a financial planner but I'm not even sure where is best to start that search. Any guidance would be appreciated. (Toronto)
