So Now I am Aware of Sclerals "Wearing out"?

So I have just seen that sclerals can "wear out" and loose clarity/sharpness by just rubbing them to clean them. Just wow! I started on a scleral about 3 months ago and have been blown away with the acuity this lens has given me (I only wear 1). So tell me, is this true? Does rubbing to clean "wear them out" and cause acuity losses? If yes, then how the heck do you clean them? I always kind of liked seeing the "sudsy" stuff after I had rubbed the lens. What else can I do to minimize the "wearing out" thing?
