I’m graduating in CS but I really want to work with cars
I’m studying CS and graduating next year, but honestly I’ve realized I’m much more interested in cars than I am in CS.
Has anyone here gotten into the automotive industry with a CS degree, especially in manufacturing, performance/aftermarket, EVs, or motorsport?
I’ve even been thinking about trying to get any kind of job/internship at a manufacturing plant just to be around the industry, learn how cars are actually built, and figure out what direction I want to take.
Would that be a good way to transition into automotive, or would a Master’s in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering make more sense?
Any advice from people who’ve made a similar switch would be appreciated.
I just wanna work with cars and go fast lol.
