I made a searchable clipboard manager for Windows
I got tired of copying something, copying something else, and then immediately realizing I needed the first thing again.
So I made ClipVault, a small clipboard manager that keeps a local history of copied text.
It has search, pinned entries, tags, keyboard shortcuts and a simple history view. Everything is stored locally, so I didn’t want to add an account or cloud synchronization just for clipboard history.
I used AI-assisted coding during development, especially when debugging some of the Windows-specific parts. Freebuff was one of the tools I experimented with because it gave me another way to test different coding models for free.
The project is still pretty simple, but it solved an annoying problem I actually had, which is usually a better reason to build something than “I wanted to make a SaaS.”
