Resource probe shows lots of hydrogen, but my gas miner can't find any

I used a resource probe that says there is a large amount of hydrogen in the area. However, when I send my gas miner there, it says there is a problem because there is none of that resource available. I don't really understand why this is happening if the resource probe says there is hydrogen there. I've tried moving the miner to different locations in the area, but it keeps giving me the same message.
