Crusade Shop - Credit rewards seem out of reach?
Edit: I was being dense. Two comments in have cleared it up for me. Sorry!
Apologies if I am being dense or my search skill has failed me, but I am struggling to see how it is possible for anyone other than a teeny, tiny minority to hope of getting enough Crusade Credits to, say, buy a relic? I understand it was probably naive of me to think that buying a relic (5355 credits) from just one full Crusade event would be reasonable. Relics are supposed to be rare, after all. However, IF my faction and side secure a planet, I will get... 15 credits. If I manage to get into the top 50 for that planet for Crusade Points, I'll get a crate starting at 750 credits. Which, fair enough, is a bit of a chunk.
However, I'm currently at position of over than 2,700 and I am a level 69 (nice, etc) player. My guild is continually advancing up the rankings (albeit, gradually - advanced from 3,000 raid leaderboard to around 2,000 over the last 8ish months), but we're still waaaaaaaaaay off being able to get a guild crate for victory. In fact, I doubt we will ever get one in the current setup.
I understand there will be other Credit drops somehow, but currently I'm looking at having to secure over 350 planets to be able to buy a relic... and since as far as I can see, NO planets have been secured yet, we're talking years as a best case scenario.
I am not hating on Crusade - I think it adds some fun extra fluff and coordination to the gameplay. I am just not entirely sure yet whether it's actually worth the faff of trying to get your Operations bonuses (many of which are impossible with my roster) if it's going to be years of play to cash them in.
I'm just wondering whether it's worth actually bothering with it, I guess. If that answer is, "not really" then fair play, I'm genuinely happy for the big guilds that have more end game content. Just seems a bit wonky for the rest of us.
