Does adding a pto day changes my schedule?

So I’m off wed and Saturdays but I added pto for next Friday to get Friday and Saturday off. Originally I was trying to get sat Sunday off but couldn’t. I got scheduled on my normal off day Wednesday I thought I would be off Wednesday Friday and Saturday ….?
