Do hiring committees care about or even look at LinkedIn?

Career Change/Interviewing/Job Advice

So after covid I wanted out of the classroom for a remote job and actually landed something pretty decent, but it's shown me that I want back into teaching.

Last time I was job hunting in Ed was 2016 and the consensus at the time was that schools don't pay much attention to LinkedIn so I ignored it. When I was looking to pivot to a corporate job, I made a profile and actually got my current job offer like a week later from a local company through the app.

Anyway, I have been applying to the few jobs available in my area over the last spring, and I have never even made it to any second round interviews- even with my very relevant specialized experience and feeling the interview had a "good vibe". I seem to keep getting passed over for subs and student teachers they know. This is why I quit my remote job and plan to sub this school year to hopefully get my foot in the door for any openings next year.

I just logged into my linked in which I THOUGHT I deleted but apparently it's very difficult to do that and I'm sickened to see my "about me" has a had a public blurb about wanting to leave Ed and why I think I'd fit well in an office job.

What are the odds hiring committees have seen this and I have been poisoning my own job efforts? I'm genuinely sickened at the thought right now that a school might have liked me, Googled me, saw this, and passed immediately.
