Jenn: Dad!! I just got back to my home and checked the fridge. Are you trying to get me to cry tears of joy?? 😭

Dad: Haha welcome home kiddo! Figured you could use a little pick-me-up since you've been working so hard.

Jenn: A \*little\*?! Dad, it’s a whole pristine, glorious New York cheesecake sitting right here on my shelf. I thought Mom put her foot down and cancelled my weekly delivery forever after our latest blowout?

Dad: Well... your mother did say the budget was cut and that since you live on your own now you need to manage your own treats. But you know how she gets. I may have quietly redirected the delivery straight to your place. 🤫

Jenn: You absolute legend. You are officially my favorite human being on this planet. Do you know how close I was to having a complete mental breakdown without my sugar fix?

Dad: Hey, I survived decades of marriage to your mother, I know how to pick my battles. Just... maybe don't mention it when she calls later to check if you're eating veggies? Let's keep this alliance under wraps.

Jenn: My lips are sealed! Though knowing Mom, she’s going to somehow inspect my kitchen telepathically. I’m eating a massive piece right now to celebrate. Thank you so much, Dad. You're the best. ❤️

Dad: Enjoy it, sweetie. Save some for later! Love you.

Candidly Speaking.. it's Jenn
