Where have you traveled in the winter months that has a Christmasy winter vibe?

For a long time I’ve wanted to travel somewhere that feels like a real winter wonderland over Christmas however I’ve either not had the money or not had the time off.

Can you recommend anywhere. Ideally not something extortionate like Lapland.
