I live a very compartmentalized life, alternating between two extremes. My work and homelife, consist of a very regimented routine, two hours at the gym, then off to teach literature at the local small arts college. I also pull a shift on the volunteer fire department. Fashion matters little to me, with my cheap perscription glasses, and hiding my physique in comfy loose sweaters and off the rack suit jackets. I drink decafe tea, with my nose in a book, drive a boring but safe car, i tell cheesy "old man" jokes, and have been described at work as comfortably boring. When summer break begins though, a tarp comes off an old Harley motorcycle in the garage, and I drive the long four hours to the wealthy beach town, where my inherited house overlooks a beautiful seaside. While I truly am all of the first person, I'm not lying when I say I'm also a completely different person, when the school year ends, and I motorcycle away. I grow out the beard, shoot pool and drink whiskey into the night, and have the occasional cigar or cigarette. I'll play a bit of guitar in coffee shops, enjoy the sun on the water, and mostly, just fucking everything not nailed down. The recent divorcee, the college senior who likes the hint of gray in my beard. Justna few more days to get my fill. So who are you, and why do I need to have you?
