Removal of ND filters on the Luna

So i absolutely love the Luna Ultra - it’s such an amazing camera and the images you can get out of it are so stunning. Recently i purchased ND filters for it, but honest to god - i don’t know if i’m just clumsy but i’m having a hard time removing them without dropping the filters or making the gimbal go into panic mode due to the jittering while trying to remove the filter.

Has anyone a good way of removing them smoothly? Gimbal on/off? I honestly have no idea what is the best way to do it. It doesn’t help that my thumbs are the sizes of a aubergine either. My biggest fea
