Does jail trauma cause people to engage in more anti social behavior?

I saw a clip of the show 120 hours and it involved this small 19F first time inmate that was arrested for simple battery after these girls attacked her. She had this complete “fish out of water” vibe and I felt sorry for her and became interested in what happened. So I watched the episode and she was released on OR with no bail needed at the end of the episode.

I looked up her case on the Reno Municipal Court website and her case was dismissed. Also I also that she had some traffic offenses afterwards and has had her license suspended for FTA for an expired tag violation. For someone that had never broken the law to all of a sudden have multiple infractions, is this a sign of PTSD from the arrest and jail stay or is she just breaking bad for some reason?

It seems like she could use some help or intervention of some kind but I don’t know her personally so I don’t think I can do anything.
