One of the most interesting Rebellion outcomes I've had. I like to play that and Defiance when I'm not planning on being one of the main players so I can just kind of see what wild choices the AI makes.

I'm RP'ing a thrall revolution on the Iron Islands, using a custom Old Gods follower ruler starting on Lonely Light, taking each island and giving them to raised up old gods following lowborns. Other than some initial meddling using Divine Intervention/Character swapping, mostly to arrange marriages, I stayed out of the war and was focused on my little corner of the map.

Cersei and Tywin died early so Tyrion became Lord with Kevan as regent and never joined the rebellion, neither did Quellon. The war lasted for 7 years. It usually lasts way longer than canon if I'm not playing one of the main folks, but this was one of the longest I've seen. Robert finally won at the very end of 289 AC, killing Rhaegar. No wildfire plot or Jaime killing Aerys, and with no Tywin, Elia and her kids were fine.

Rhaella got Dragonstone, with Aegon as her heir, betrothed to Rhaenys, a common outcome, and then survived Dany's birth which was nice. Elia, shockingly, ended up having a kid with Doran, learned some lessons from her husband I guess. The kid ended up dying of being sickly and now she's married to some minor Dornish Lord. Better than canon but a rough outcome for her, with the dead husband and kids being raised by her ex-Mother in law and at some point her relationship with Doran got exposed so she has the adulterer and incestuous traits.

Lyanna survived but Ned still claimed Jon as his bastard, an outcome I've literally never seen. I'm guessing as a result of whatever happened at the Tower of Joy, Arthur and Oswell ended up remaining Kingsguards, but Robert imprisoned and then released from their vows Jaime, Barristan, and Lewyn. I snapped up Barristan for my court and Jaime's at Dragonstone. Lewyn was quite old and returned to Sunspear.

The biggest shock was Robert dying at his coronation, just after becoming soulmates with Lyanna, in a duel to an incredibly frail and elderly Quellon Greyjoy who was about to lose the Paramountcy war to me. No idea what happened specifically, I wasn't at the coronation due to said war. Was very surprised to see that Robert had gotten the conqueror trait at some point before dying, ended up finding an autosave with him still alive to keep for a future playthrough. Gotta see what a Robert with the soulmate he wanted and the conqueror trait does with his life.

But in this timeline, Stannis is now King with his beautiful soulmate wife Ashara Dayne (one of the marriages I arranged at game start) and lovely children. He apparently befriended Ned at some point, who's doing well in the North with Catelyn and their brood of children and his totally real son Jon. Lyanna was pregnant when Robert died and had a daughter named Joy 🥹. I am not a Robert/Lyanna truther but v tragic that in this timeline she fell in love with him right before he died and then named her daughter that. I look forward to seeing how their lives go when I play the other save out.

Renly, before war's end, had the disappear event and is now an adventurer. I have him pinned so I can reveal his secret identity if I feel like it but curious to see if it happens on its own. Some other marriages I arranged include Arianne/Viserys, who became a dragon dreamer at some point, curious to see how that goes, and Tyrion/Tysha who became soulmates at their wedding with no interference from me and now have a lovely, intelligent daughter - Amella 'the Midsummer Dreamer'.

Overall having a blast and we'll see if I have the patience to play more than one generation before trying out the Robert Conqueror save.
