Questions Regarding Seeds, Overall Garden Productivity, and Tomatoes
Hello!
All of my seeds are in 4 seed starting trays with seed starting soil and all 4 are in a south facing afternoon sun window (so they get every bit of 8+ hours of sun) in a room that becomes pretty humid, as we dont have a.c. I try to water them at least daily with a spray bottle and I try to get the soil looking wet when I water them instead of just misting them.
Each tray is designated for certain plants 1.Peas and beans 2.Parsnips, peppers, onions, tomato 3.Carrots 4.Lettuces and spinach
The peas/beans have started to sprout but the rest of the trays are nothing. What is going on?
This is my first year doing parsnips....are they finicky to get going?
And im so disappointed that its already August and my problem with this has pushed me back and I'll probably be screwed regarding actually having veggies grown before winter.
Any advice?
I also feel like my plants last year were KICKING ASS-big, beautiful, productive. This year, not even a quarter of last year. Anyone else experiencing that?
Also, my tomato plants outside: is there a good way of trellising them? Because ive tried plant support rods and plant clips but my plants end up toppling it over. I also made a trellis using the support rods and bamboo but my plants have that thing LEANING. Im probably just being stupid and should have clipped them to the trellis differently. But any advice is appreciated.
Thank you!
