Could the electricians of the subreddit help me out with some advice?

I have lived abroad for a decent amount of time and ended up taking abit of a shining to electrical and have 4 years experience in mainly construction/ industrial but have done domestic and commercial also.

Decided I wanted to do an apprenticeship so I’ve came home to start one. Not knowing much about Irish companies I just went with the first company that offered the apprenticeship to me to get the ball rolling.

it’s been a disaster, extremely slow paced environment where there could be days if not weeks where I literally do nothing. I’m always pretty keen and love electrical but working at this place has honestly started to make me miserable and even started to affect me mentally showing up to work and doing nothing and not having any sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.

I’m just not really used to it, everywhere I’ve worked before has been pretty fast paced, good mentally the crew would have towards work and just all round enjoyable to work at. Place I’m working now has been the complete opposite and definitely struggling with it.

Mainly just looking for a company that I can work hard for and they give me the opportunities to grow as a tradesman.

Wouldn’t know much about Irish companies since I’ve been away but I’ve been trying to give this place as much time as I can but doesn’t seem like it’s going to change anytime soon so if anyone knows of any Irish companies that would sound like a good fit for me it would be greatly appreciated.
