Almost 5 decades unpierced and working up the courage… then I finally got my PA — and apparently things escalated rather quickly! Thanks for the nudge, guys.

NSFW

This is my first ever Reddit post, and I don’t think I could have picked a better time to finally post: I’ve had my shiny new PA for 5 days now and, after spending so long reading, learning and getting inspired here, I think it’s about time I gave a little something back to the community that has given me so much.

So first of all, thank you. Genuinely. And apologies in advance because this is going to be a VERY long post, although I hope an interesting one. Please bear with me!

Until now I’ve basically been a lurker on this sub. Never posted, never asked anything. Just quietly sitting here, reading and absorbing all the experience you guys share.

And I think, in a way, this post is me finally stepping out from behind the screen. Because I’m definitely not the sort of person you’d expect to have a PA.

I come from a very traditional, conservative, corporate background. The typical good boy who’s always done what was expected of him and followed the unwritten rules pretty well. As conventional as they come.

And yet I’ve been fantasising about getting a PA for many, many years! The idea would come and go. Sometimes it felt like something I might do one day; other times I’d find perfectly good reasons not to. And so the years went by.

Until, thanks to a sequence of things that have happened in my life recently, I finally reached a point where I decided I was going to do what I wanted to do in life. That I didn’t owe anyone an explanation anymore.

For someone with my background, believe me, that wasn’t exactly obvious. And then, without me even looking for it, the idea of the PA came back. And this time it came back with a force and determination I hadn’t felt before. This time I genuinely didn’t care what anyone else might think about it.

So I came back to r/PrinceAlbertPiercing, but I was reading it with a completely different mindset.

For years I’d looked at your posts from the outside, almost enviously: you guys had actually done it and I hadn’t. A PA was still a distant possibility for me.

This time, though, I realised what was actually happening: I was finally reading to prepare myself to actually do it.

Suddenly I stopped seeing limitations everywhere and started seeing a sea of possibilities. I went from having a thousand doubts to having a pretty clear plan in my head: from the initial piercing all the way to the gauge I eventually want to reach, enjoying the stretching journey along the way.

And this is where I want to pause for a moment and say thank you.

To everyone who shares their experiences here, good and bad, the things that have worked and the things that haven’t, the questions, the advice, and everything you’ve learnt along the way.

What helped me most wasn’t just all that information. It was the atmosphere of r/PrinceAlbertPiercing too. The way people here can talk about something so personal without feeling judged. The way advice is given without assuming everyone is starting from the same place. That people understand that behind every piercing there’s a different person, with their own background, circumstances and reasons for being here.

For someone like me, that has meant far more than you probably realise. And I genuinely don’t think I would have got to this point without you guys.

So thank you. This time, properly and out loud.

And now…

Five days ago, I finally did it.

The actual piercing

In the days leading up to it I was surprisingly calm. This time I didn’t have that feeling of looking for excuses to back out. I’d genuinely made up my mind.

I only got a little nervous once I arrived at the studio and sat down in the waiting room. But shortly afterwards, as soon as the piercer started explaining what she was going to do, I relaxed completely again.

Because the truth is, I couldn’t fucking wait to do it!

Compared with many of the experiences I’d read here, the piercing itself was ridiculously easy for me. I barely even noticed the infamous receiving tube everyone seems to complain about. The actual needle was literally over in a second, and for me the pain was very mild.

All the manipulation afterwards to get the jewellery in was virtually painless. I was lying there with my head resting on my arms, watching the piercer work and actually quite enjoying the whole experience.

A little bit of blood, but honestly, very little.

And then came the moment of seeing my freshly pierced cock for the first time.

My first reaction? OMG! Instant erection.

Ten minutes later I was ready to leave the studio and felt so good that I even spent a good part of the afternoon out and about running errands, with my cock wrapped in what was basically a little gauze turban.

The first few days

The healing has been going much better than I expected too.

During the first 24 hours I had a few drops of blood, mainly that afternoon and a few more during the night with changes of position and erections. After the first 24 hours: nothing. Not a single drop more. I didn’t even get any stinging when pissing, not even the first time.

On day 2 I only had very mild discomfort with some erections or certain movements while walking. By day 3 I was barely feeling any discomfort at all, even with erections.

I know it’s very early days still, but so far I honestly think my PA is healing spectacularly well. It looks and feels great tbh.

And, being completely honest, the PA has had me aroused and semi-erect for most of these first days. I’m sure it’s mostly the novelty, but I absolutely love the feeling. Properly back to my Uni years :)

Which led me to make a somewhat questionable decision at the end of day 3.

Yes, I had a wank.

I know that was far too soon and I’m definitely not recommending anyone else do the same. I was extremely careful, using only the middle of the shaft and very short movements to avoid putting any strain on the piercing.

And wow! Even with the extremely gentle jerking off, coming with my new PA was an experience that nearly broke me into pieces from the inside.

No irritation or bleeding afterwards, but I’m going to let it rest for a good few days before I consider doing it again.

On day 4, I swapped trunks and looser clothing for briefs and tighter trousers, and still no discomfort whatsoever. So far I couldn’t be happier with how everything is going. I’m still following the aftercare religiously, of course.

One small disappointment

The only slight disappointment has been the initial jewellery.

My piercer fitted me with a 12g (2 mm), 19 mm diameter CBR. I’d told him that my intention was to stretch up quite a bit and that I’d ideally have liked to start at 10g. But he is rather on the conservative side. He doesn’t do new PAs larger than 12g, to reduce bleeding and minimise complications.

So initially I was a little disappointed. But frankly, seeing how well it’s healing, I have absolutely nothing to complain about.

I’ve got all the time in the world to stretch properly and without rushing it. My aim is 4g minimum. 2g seems pretty likely. I wouldn’t rule out 0g, although that’s less likely.

And I’m actually really looking forward to learning along the way and doing the stretching DIY-style when the time comes, with dead stretching and plenty of patience and common sense.

I’m using jewlry.app as a log to keep track of the process, which someone recommended in another post here. I honestly think it’s brilliant for this.

Apparently, I had been waiting a very long time

The thing I’ve found myself thinking about most over the last few days is:

How the fuck did I wait this long?

And this is where the story takes a little turn I didn’t see coming myself.

Day 4.

The PA was going incredibly well. I was absolutely loving it. The barriers that had kept me putting these things off for years had completely disappeared.

Fuck it. Let’s get the nipples done NOW.

So I went back to the studio and got both nipples pierced.

And yes, I know it might sound totally impulsive. But this wasn’t an idea that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. I’d wanted nipple piercings for a very long time too. I just had considerably more reservations about them compared with a PA: they’re less private, the healing is considerably more involved… In any case, after so many years without any piercings at all, the PA was very clearly my absolute priority.

I’d always thought the nipples might come later. Only this time, “later” turned out to be exactly four days.

After spending almost five decades putting these things off, once I’d finally crossed the barrier, apparently I wasn’t particularly interested in waiting another decade between piercings.

No regrets whatsoever. But that’s probably a story for another subreddit. Stay tuned.

Apparently this has now become a full project

Once everything has healed, my idea is to have a fairly coordinated look between the nipples and PA, with rings and gauges that work nicely together.

And as I progress with the stretching, I’d probably like to evolve from something more sleek and curated towards something more industrial and slightly rougher, with noticeably larger gauges and ring thicknesses. Silver, black, or both. Suggestions on the setup (or beyond) welcome!

In other words, without really meaning to, it looks like I’ve signed myself up for a rather exciting 2–3 year project, and frankly, a hell of a lot more fun than I’d originally anticipated.

To think that I’ve lived almost five decades without any piercings and now have three in four days! And judging by how things are going, I suspect that’s not the final number…

A septum in the same style will probably be next on the list — not in another four days though, hopefully. I’ll leave it a bit longer this time :)). And probably some classic lobe rings to finish the whole thing off.

My kinky side, which had apparently been hibernating for a very long time, has finally woken up and is fully unleashed. And I have a feeling it’s here to stay.

Finally, thank you

So, genuinely: thank you to everyone who contributes here.

I’ve spent a very long time being that bloke on the other side of the screen, quietly reading everything you guys post. Many of you had absolutely no idea you were helping me, but you truly were.

Now that I’ve finally taken the plunge, I really want to become an active part of this community and give something back for everything I’ve received simply by reading everyone else’s experiences.

And if my story helps even one person who’s been thinking “maybe one day…” for years to see a little bit of themselves in it and finally take their own step, that would make me very happy.

But above all, I’d genuinely love to hear from you.

Opinions, experiences, suggestions, advice, your own stories… anything. After all these years lurking, I’ve finally stepped out from behind the screen, and I’m really looking forward to actually getting involved, having some proper conversations and getting to know some of the people behind the posts.

Thanks for being such a fucking great community!
