A comprehensive post today... reflecting the saga of THE jacket.

I had my eye on [Le Laboureur ](https://www.lelaboureur.com/)since writing about "largeot" in GARMENT ORIGINS [(see here)](https://www.reddit.com/r/HeritageWear/comments/1m99ugz/les_wideboys/) a year ago. It seemed at the time they were pretty hard to get hold of outside of France as the only stockist I could find in the USA was [Le Gardenheir](https://gardenheir.com/) ... and they didn't have the model I really wanted.

Roll on to June '26 and I had a "work" trip to Paris! Straight to [Le Blouse de Lyon](https://www.lablousedelyon.com/en) to get myself kitted out. Fantastic shop and staff.. and I came away with the Linen/Cotton mix chore jacket and pants in black. BUT they didn't have the full suit in camel so I came away with just the pants from that set. This left me "jacketless" for the camel color.

Le Blouse do not ship to the USA (You know why!) So on my return to the USA, and to avoid tariffs I ordered a camel jacket to be sent to a friend (and member here!) in the UK. He would recieve the package and send it on to me as a "gift" avoiding tariffs! yipeee.

BUT, nooooo my friends. The British customs agent/receivers decided instead to return my package to France for unpaid taxes! Utter nonsense as the package was well under the threshold, furthermore the demand came *after* they sent the package back. DPD are charlatans and rogues!

Le Blouse de Lyon kindly refunded me in full. Lovely people. This still left me camel jacket less.

Until u/ctjanjic1 posted his fantastic "wide boy" fit right here [black metis](https://www.reddit.com/r/HeritageWear/s/LtrPfJWsSu), In it he mentioned that he got his from [La Cognee](https://lacognee.ca/en/) in Quebec! Finally a lead... went straight to them and MAIS OUI!

The owner (and tool maker) Emmanuel carried the now rare and hard to find linen/cotton jacket!

BUT.. he was out of stock! MAIS NO.

BUT.. he could order it for me! MAIS OUI!

I ordered and Emmanuel had that out to me and delivered less than 72 hours after the pre-order arrived! Wonderful service, friendly and personal. Great packaging and attention to detail! Check out his store for all your Le Laboureur needs and... axes!

..and here it is. merci mon amis!!
