did you know in c section surgeons make a small incision and then use their hands to separate the tissues?

i saw a video on the internet that in c section doctors basically rip you apart with their hands which is obviously a dramatic exaggeration but i wanted to know what it meant so I searched more.

apparently it's called blunt dissection. they make a small incision with scalpel then use specialization tools and fingers to separate the tissues further. there are medical reasons behind it like how it causes less bleeding, faster healing, is better for muscle tissues etc.

but oh my god it does feel like ripping apart.
