How do I find a job in my degree field
21 and graduated college almost exactly a year ago, since then I’ve been working multiple part time jobs to work up my savings. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Sustainability and Gender but spent my time in college more focused on money and getting out early (I only took three years and a summer semester) rather than networking or interning.
I’ve been told that my field would be used well in Human Resources in terms of policy application and rule in companies regarding the handling of workplace issues and minority protections, but I don’t have a degree in HR which is what they’re all asking for.
I’d like to do policy design and reform, and hopefully something with remote or hybrid capabilities. I’m just not sure where to start and I feel like wherever I’m searching is going to undermine me due to my age (college grad at 20) and lack of experience in the field (my part-times are mostly food and service jobs, but they all want like 2+ years of “related experience”)
Please help 🥲
