Is 150 -> 165 by November realistic?

Hey everyone! This is actually my first Reddit post ever, so bear with me.

I graduated college this past May and started studying for the LSAT with 7Sage at the very end of July. Right now, I’m balancing studying with a part-time job and have been averaging around 2 hours of studying each morning.

I’m planning to take the November LSAT. My diagnostic was a 150, and my goal is around a 165. Rutgers is currently my target school, mainly because I’m a NJ resident and the in-state tuition is really appealing. That said, if I can get my LSAT score high enough, I’d definitely be open to looking at other/better options. T14 schools seem like they might be a bit of a reach for me since I graduated with a 3.2 GPA, but I’m still pretty new to the whole admissions process.

As far as studying goes, I’ve been working through the 7Sage curriculum and have covered about half of Logical Reasoning so far. I haven’t started studying Reading Comprehension yet.

My main question is: Am I on the right track to realistically reach a 165?

I’m also considering signing up for the January LSAT and using November as my first attempt, then potentially trying to improve my score in January depending on how November goes. Would taking the January LSAT have any negative impact on my admissions chances or put me at a disadvantage because I’d be applying later in the cycle?

I’m honestly very new to both LSAT prep and the law school admissions process, and I don’t really have anyone in my life who has gone through it before. Most of what I know has come from Google and 7Sage, so I’d really appreciate any advice from people who have been through this.
Thanks!
