Can someone explain this trust to me

Taxes / CRA Issues

Is it possible in Canada to establish a form of trust that can be used to allocate capital gains to beneficiaries, who will then assume the tax liability for the appreciated securities and receive the proceeds once the securities are sold?

So, for example, you can allocate cap gains to children that have low or no income, thereby paying next to no tax on up to $30k of gains in a year?

I’m not knowledgeable on trusts, but recently heard this could be a thing.

Anyone have any experience with this?
