My five-year-old keeps trying to pause real life

My five-year-old has started using screen logic on everything. Rain starts during a walk? “Pause it.” Bath water gets cold? “Restart it.” A traffic light takes too long? Apparently I should skip it.

I usually answer that real life is still loading, which has only made the problem worse. Yesterday the kid stood completely still and announced they were frozen. How much of your child’s vocabluary comes from screens now, and what is the strangst example you’ve heard?
