German General Helmuth Von Pannwitz in traditional Cossack wear. Pannwitz was instrumental from 1942 onwards in establishing Cossack volunteer forces. Captured by the British who later turned him over to the Soviets, he was hung along with 5 other Cossack generals in 1947.
