Need guidance for starting a Kurti business

Hey everyone, I’m thinking of starting a small online Kurti business and selling through Amazon and Flipkart.

I’m still in the research stage, so wanted to get some genuine opinions from people who are already selling apparel on these platforms.

Is it actually profitable to sell kurtis in 2026 after considering marketplace fees, shipping, returns, ads, etc.? How much margin can a new seller realistically expect?

Also, how bad are returns/RTOs in this category, and is it difficult to get the first few sales without an established brand?

Would really appreciate honest experiences — even if things didn’t work out for you. Just trying to understand the reality before putting money into inventory.
