Anyone scared about their single parent getting older, but due to cost of living you won’t be able to support them?

I’m moving into my mother’s house again from my father’s at 18, my step dad says he’s moving out after 18 years together. She’s currently on benefits as she is bipolar and hasn’t worked in years. When I move back I will have to work to support her but I can’t stop thinking about how as I get older and with things getting more expensive how will I cope? Like how can myself support a single parents who’s 53 now? I’m getting a little worried about how this will work out especially the future. Because I will never be able to move out I’ll just be supporting the house that she’s in. Does anyone else have a similar experience or whatever.
