Have you come up with any of your own ideas for tournament wave count reduction? Let’s hear ‘em!
If you have had any ideas that you haven’t seen any discussions about, then I probably haven’t either. I want to see them! No matter how wacky you might think they are. Ideas that are talked about less frequently are also welcome, I want to hear them all!
I’ll start:
The other night, I was contemplating ideas for new tournament BCs to reduce wave counts in tournaments over a few beers and I had one idea that stuck with me. Not sure if someone else has thought of this already (didn’t find anything with a search), so I figured it was worth sharing.
What if there was a new overheat that gave enemies some DefAbs? They could start with some amount and have it scale exponentially over the course of the run. At first, it could be drastically outpaced by PF damage scaling and then eventually start getting debilitating as the run goes on.
This could be constructed as the complete reverse of ELS reduction overheats. In contrast to multiplying by a static percentage based on bracket and then reducing by a flat amount every so often, I envision this to be starting with a flat amount and then multiplying the current value by (1+x) every so often, where x is tuned based on bracket. Scaling would also be immune to EHLS.
What are your thoughts?
