Rollator Advice Needed

General Question / Discussion

Hey everyone!
So I am disabled and use a cane or sometimes a rollator for longer distances. I can walk without either for shorter distances. I’ve been trying to decide if it’s worth bringing my rollator on my next cruise. Previous cruises I have just brought the cane, and although it’s been fine, I did suffer during the walks from the ship into the port at multiple locations. If I brought the rollator,
I wouldn’t use it much on board, it would primarily be used at the ports. That being said, I haven’t picked my shore things yet but I know I might have some in which I don’t believe I can bring the rollator anyways. Also, important to note, the rollator is an extra wide one, so I believe I would also have to call about changing cabins as I’m currently in a solo insider and I don’t believe it would fit. My sailing is in January on the Resilient Lady and the ports are Ocho Rios, George Town, and the beach club at Bimini. As far as shore things, I know for sure I want to snorkel with sharks at Bimini.
I’m also flying in and I’ve never flown with my rollator before so I would have to figure out all that with the airline as well…
I’m just looking for general advice from anyone with similar needs and what you might have done for your sailing! And if you think it’s even worth bringing or should I stick to my cane? Thanks in advance!
