Felt like the second date went bad at the end how do I salvage it?
Context: I’m (24M) a law student and I haven’t dated anyone in about a year and half after breaking things off with my last girlfriend. In my free time I’m a firefighter and one of the other firefighters at my department set me up with his sister (20F). Our first date was last week and she seemed to enjoy it the first time and was lively in conversation so I asked her out for coffee and she agreed so I took her to her favorite coffee shop in the area. Overall we seemed to be having a nice chat just kind of talking about nothing in particular. She went to the bathroom but then she really wanted to go home so I didn’t mind too much and drove her back. She started bringing up the fact that she’s moving soon for college about an hour away which I don’t mind if we were to continue. I don’t think she knew how it came across but it sounded like she was uninterested and got upset after mentioning hanging out again when I skeptically asked if there’d be a third date. I probably was overthinking it but it just seemed like the subtle things you’re supposed to notice as someone not being interested showed at the last part of the date. Granted I’m not good at communicating with people or how I come across at times because I’m very matter of fact when I know other people aren’t. I honestly think she’s a pretty nice girl and I want to see her more but how do I salvage it?
