Systems Engineering or CS and Econ double major in College of Arts and Sciences
I am an incoming first year heading into UVA's School of Engineering. Currently, I am planning on transferring into the College of Arts and Sciences after the first semester for Computer Science and potentially double majoring in economics because of the lower tuition in that department. Is systems engineering worth it over CS? I've also heard that Computer Science can be very risky and that UVA's name doesn't carry a ton of weight in the software engineering industry. Which pathway will set me up for better success in the future? I didn't receive any financial aid here, and I want to choose something that will give me the best chance of success. I will take any advice that I can get. Thank you!
