I was told I "write like a pervert" and I can't stop thinking about it.

This happened like 2 weeks ago and it triggered me so bad I still feel angry about it, I need to vent.

So what happened is I asked for feedback for a little excerpt of my fanfic that I thought was pretty harmless, it introduces two female characters.

This cis woman gave me some EXTREMELY harsh criticism on it, saying I "write like a voyeur" and "the work starts off sounding feminist but I sound like someone who is just attracted to women". (Which might be a roundabout way of saying I write like a man???)

And what is the basis for all this accusation, you ask? It's all because I described my character as having a "petite body". Yup. That's it. I thought that was a completely neutral thing in my head, but apparently that's a gross way of describing my character?? It was genuinely not my intention but just using that word made that woman so angry at me, I don't understand.

But even if that person was a total loony from the internet, you can see how it would be so triggering to be told you write like a gender that you're not. I just wanna let this go but I keep ruminating on it.
