What are the actual fundamentals of Marvel Rivals that new players should learn?
Hello everyone,
I'm a pretty new player, and in sports and competitive games people always talk about understanding the fundamentals if you want to improve. I'm not really looking for basic advice like "don't run in 1v6" or "wait for your team before engaging."
I'm more interested in the deeper fundamentals that separate average players from good players.
I mainly play Punisher because he's my favorite character. I recently watched a YouTube guide that mentioned things I never would have thought about, like using Punisher's turret so its shots splash against walls or the ground to hit multiple enemies, and prioritizing things like shields, squids, and other deployables/hazards.
That got me wondering: what are some of the less obvious fundamentals of Marvel Rivals that every player should learn?
Also, what are some common pitfalls that newer players fall into that are best avoided early on?
I'd love to hear advice from experienced players, especially things that aren't immediately obvious from just playing matches.
