I’m playing in a tournament and need help.

So I’m playing in in a tournament with some friends and we span a wheel to see what generation we can choose our Pokémon from. I got gen 1 and 2, any advice on what would be a good team (no ubers) from gen 1 and 2. All tips are appreciated.
