My person experience after one transaction

First off, I am not affiliated to them nor do I have any reason whatsoever to promote them.
I am doing this because, before placing my order, I was thinking "What if the seller sends me something that doesn't match the description?"

Sadly, that is exactly what happened to me.

For those in a rush, here is the synopsis : BackMarket was amazing and Verizon (the seller) made me whole.

Here is the full story. On August 4th, one iPhone 13 Mini in Premium conditions was listed at a price I found to be acceptable, so I ordered it. On the 6th, I received it. Upon opening the box I found the unit to be FILTHY and that made me wonder if more bad surprised were to be expected. I turned it on and, lo and behold, the battery's maximum capacity was 83%. In other words, I was sent a "Fair" unit instead of a "Premium" one. I immediately took screenshots and pictures and called the toll free number. The agent there opened a ticket for me, I uploaded the pictures, she immediately confirmed that was not acceptable nor what I should have received and she issued a prepaid return label. I went to the UPS store and returned it, then I uploaded the scan of the receipt they gave me when I dropped the package. The following morning a supervisor reached out, apologized, explained again the return process to me and gave me a coupon, for future use.
On the 10th Verizon received the package and on the 12th they issued the refund, funds where in my bank account today, the 13th (I had used PayPal and it got the money from my bank account, I did not have any funds sitting there when I made the purchase).

So, my ANECDOTAL experience, limited to ONE TRANSACTION, is that indeed stuff can happen but, at least in my case, a timely and courteous resolution is a possibility.

Will I used them again? I do not know, I found another phone elsewhere and I got it and for other used electronics items I have other sellers I have used in the past. Should I see something there that I need I would not hesitate to give them a second chance. Stuff happens and it is when someone makes a mistake that you can gather their true nature. With me, they behaved like a trustworthy marketplace.
