39 weeks pregnant and different drs are giving me mixed signals
A little rant here but advice welcome too! I’ve been getting all my imaging done at an MFM office because I’m considered high risk due to getting pregnant through IVF, although pregnancy has been perfectly healthy this whole time. I’ve been getting weekly ultrasounds since 34 weeks. Last week at 38 weeks we found out little girl decided to go breech. The MFM OB said that if she was still breech at 39 weeks, he wanted me to have a c section that day. He was VERY adamant about it. Butttt my OB didn’t seem as concerned. They wouldn’t even offer me an ECV. They just said “ok we’ll see ya next week.” So at this point, I’m so done with the mental games of being pregnant, not to mention the physical pains, I was hoping she’d still be breech so I could just get her out. All weekend I could feel her doing summersaults, and primarily hanging out transverse. Well of course, yesterday at my 39 week appt, she went head down. Now I have major anxiety of “what if she flips back to breech and I don’t know it?” The MFM OB seemed very concerned initially, but my actual OB seems like they couldnt care less. They said they’ll see if they can bump me up on the induction schedule but that’s it. (Currently the next availability they have is when I’m 40+6!!??!!) So now I’m just sitting at home, waiting for something to happen, absolutely losing my mind. Frankly I just want her to flip back to breech or transverse so they can cut her out.
