Felt old today at work

Well shit, it finally happened. I created a training unit and I missed the mark because the work I was training for has changed too much since I last did it.

I feel bad. On the one hand, I didn’t know what I didn’t know. On the other hand, I feel old, irrelevant, and washed up. I have been top of my game at work for my entire career. Yes, I still have experiential knowledge and institutional history, but apparently I have fallen behind the changes. I don’t want to be the old person they wish would retire.
