How do you deal with professors whose accent is hard to follow?

my_qualifications: International graduate student Before I build it further, I want to know how real students handle this:

1. What's your worst lecture-hall experience with this?
2. Do your professors provide notes before exams, or are you on your own?
3. Do your schools even allow recording lectures?
