eggs and big crystals in raiders

i have a question about the levels where you mine the big crystals

so after you fully fill up the bar at the top to x2.0, will any other eggs you collect be discarded or will they still count towards your tank level up meter?

i’m trying to level up my last tank but i’m so late in the game that if i use it on the current story levels i’m pretty sure i’ll be fried

sorry if this question has already been answered im just a bit lost whenever i open this app ngl
