Best Wireless Controller To Used Docked

Just wondering what the community consensus is on the best wireless controller solution for this device while docked. Currently running the series X controller via Bluetooth, but as we all know, latency is kind of a pain in the butt. Is the best move to get the official Xbox wireless adapter, or is there a third-party controller with the dongle that is a better option. I use this thing in an EGP while traveling out of town for work, some games it’s manageable. Other games are unplayable with the Bluetooth latency.
