Calling it now. Griff or seth will probably make it to the final unless they are taken out of the semi finals

I have seen my fair share of surfing for about 14 years, so I guess that counts for the talking point I am going to make. From what I have from 2022-2025, there was a sudden push as soon as Griffin got onto the WSL for the judges to score him higher compared to the excellent waves that other surfers have won, which has failed him upwards to making the title match event. Currently, from what I am seeing in the Tahiti event is the same for Seth. Just like previous moments where the announcers absolutely slather the dude in compliments for moves that would give him a 5. I have seen both of these guys since the NSSA days and U.S. Open events where fair scoring was applied for the most part, and they aren't as impressive as the announcers make them out to be. I understand that they are, in fact, great surfers who are extremely arrogant, but are not outstanding surfers that the announcers and judges make them out to be. I completely understand the wanting for new blood, especially Californian and Hawaiian blood, to make the event interesting, but at least make it fair for all the surfers and not just a select few. (And that goes for every surfer, not just those I have mentioned)
