One day in Madrid

Hi all, for a random (and boring) reason I am in Madrid for one day. I am looking for suggestions to get a vibe of the place - I know I can’t see much but I’d love suggestions for a good meal out, good wine maybe, flamenco? (If it’s worth it).

I’m fairly keen to see stuff but just don’t want to get a bus tour where I don’t get to experience anything. Hopefully will be back soon another time but for now I have 24 hours in Madrid and staying near Palacio Real d Madrid.

Please suggest stuff!!!
