Noob trying to get it to be as smooth as possible
I just downloaded Apollo + moonlight two days ago and so far loving it. I’m streaming from pc to steamdeck to 4K tv. I’m playing ac odyssey and It’s great most of the time but I notice that it will also do micro stutters every once in a while, just generally feeling a little choppy. Tested on crimson desert and I know it’s a more demanding game and on my pc it runs fine on ultra but when I stream it you can really feel the delay and there is a fair amount of stuttering.
My goal is to get this feeling as close to the same experience as if I just plugged in my pc to the tv you know. So if anyone who knows way more about this then myself can help me get the right settings for it that would be incredible.
Specs.
The pc is hooked up to internet via Ethernet and the steam deck dock is just wifi but I’m gonna hook it to Ethernet tomorrow. I’ve changed very few moonlight settings, really only made the res 4K, fps 60 and bitrate 150. Like I said generally runs ac odyssey amazingly on mostly max settings with the occasional jitter and crimson desert jitters a lot.
Pc itself is 4080 with Ryzen 7800x3d and 32gb of ddr5 6000mhz. These games all run fine on max settings when I play them on the pc itself but just running into some problems while streaming.
I love this moonlight Apollo set up my only worry is a wanna play the new releases like blood of dawn walker and 007 this way but I’m worried i cant do it if the more modern and demanding games jitter.
Thanks guys.
