Hey — I’m the developer of GATLI, an iPhone and iPad app for people who keep dismissing their own screen-time limits.

Most blockers either lock you out completely or are easy to bypass. GATLI takes a different approach: you choose distracting apps or categories and set daily limits or blocked hours. When you want extra access, you complete a short set of push-ups, squats, a plank, or core crunches. The camera counts the activity on-device, and a completed block earns a 10-minute access window.

Workout video is never saved. Camera frames and your private app selection aren’t sent to analytics.

I’m trying to learn whether this creates useful friction or just becomes annoying in real life. If you’re willing to use it for a few days, I’d especially like to know:

\- Did the setup make sense without an explanation from me?

\- Did the exercise → earned time → unlock flow work reliably?

\- When did the friction feel useful, frustrating, or too easy to bypass?

\- What is the one thing you would change before using GATLI regularly?

I made a promo link that gives one month of Premium access at no cost: [https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=6783760714&code=REDDITFREE](https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=6783760714&code=REDDITFREE)

No payment is required. It does not auto-renew, and the Premium access ends automatically after one month.

App Store (iOS 18 or later): [https://apps.apple.com/app/id6783760714](https://apps.apple.com/app/id6783760714)

You can leave feedback in this thread or use Settings → Support inside GATLI. Bug reports are especially useful if you include your device model, iOS version, what you expected, and what happened — but please don’t post private app selections or camera content publicly.

The free month is for trying the app. Feedback or an App Store review is not required. If you use GATLI long enough to form a genuine opinion, an honest rating or review would be greatly appreciated.

I’ll be here replying and will summarize what I change based on the feedback. Thanks for helping me make it better.

I built an iPhone app that makes you move before you can scroll — looking for honest feedback (1 month free, no auto-renewal)
