Surprisingly LOVING my postpartum body!
I hope this message finds someone who needs it. I had my little one three weeks ago. I thankfully had an easy labor, but he was six weeks early and he’s in the hospital. I hated being pregnant. I hated every second of it. Never felt like myself. I technically didn’t have that bad of a pregnancy, but it was just uncomfortable and not enjoyable.
Much like with first, the literal second he was me, I felt 100% like myself again.
pre-pregnancy, I was very in shape. I had visible abs, I could work out regularly. My boobs were a medium size, I didn’t have to wear a bra, but sometimes it would be more comfortable. nice butt (according to my husband)
now, my stomach is soft, you can’t feel any abs, my boobs are gigantic but veiny, my butt is smaller because I haven’t been working out, I have linea niagra, and yet I love every inch of it!! I love the line down my belly that lets people know I had a baby. I love the softness of my curves. I love my boobs, even if they have got big blue streaks, because they are providing life to my little one.
for all of those concerned about whether or not you will get your body back, or all of those concerned about all the sacrifices, I hope you can find a way to appreciate those changes in a new light . I know it is very tough to not be yourself anymore. It’s very tough to give up part of yourself to be pregnant, but I never thought I would be happy to have a squishy belly and here I am.
being a mom is AMAZING. Don’t ever doubt that
