How would you feel about playtime rewards?
Some other games that I've played, like Hello Kitty Cafe and Cake Off, give playtime rewards. Depending on how long you've been in-game, you'll receive rewards. They usually get better as time goes on, and max out at about an hour of playtime before resetting the next day. For HKC, progress automatically saves, so you don't have to play the full hour in one session.
Freeplay in DTI still doesn't have a good way to gain exp for the baddie pass. The only way to get exp is by playing rounds or playing Style Showdown. Lots of people enjoy creating outfits or makeup faces on DTI, but have to join farming servers to progress on the baddie pass. There was the salon minigame, but it also required people constantly interrupting their gameplay for minimal exp (can't remember exactly how much it was).
Could playtime rewards be a solution to this? Let's say they offered 350 exp for every 10 minutes in game, it would be like 8th place in a round, and players could max out at 1750 exp each day. (I'm just throwing out a number). What do y'all think? Yes or no? I doubt they'll consider it either way but I'd be interested to hear thoughts!
Potential Cons:
- Obvious attempt to improve player stats (I think baddie pass is already doing this and they're clearly not getting rid of it, so)
- People going AFK in freeplay servers (people already do this in farming servers, so I think it's the same)
- People who play rounds or AFK in rounds could get finish the pass faster (freeplay players might find it unfair)
