Seeking self-directed investors to test an experimental stock-research tool

I’m currently looking for a handful of self-directed investors to participate in a free private beta of a stock-research application I’ve built.

Rather than trying to predict stocks or issue trading signals, the application is intended to help answer a research question:

When a stock moves unusually, what might actually explain the move?

It compares the security's movement with its own trend, the broader market and a relevant sector benchmark, then brings together:

  • anomaly/residual analysis;
  • company, sector and macro news;
  • official regulatory disclosures;
  • AI-assisted summaries of the available evidence;
  • historical analysis of what happened after similar anomaly signals.

There is also a watchlist, saved research and historical backtesting.

It is explicitly not an investment-advice service or a buy/sell recommendation engine. At this stage I’m trying to establish whether the research workflow itself is useful enough to justify taking the product further.

I’d particularly like testers who:

  • invest in individual shares rather than exclusively passive funds;
  • normally investigate company news or filings;
  • hold investments for more than intraday trading;
  • are prepared to say when something is confusing, unnecessary or simply not useful.

There is no charge and no requirement to invest based on anything the tool produces. I’m looking for a small initial cohort who can use it over several weeks and provide genuine feedback.

If you're interested, leave a reply and I’ll follow up.
