Early September

Hi! My partner and I have never been to Milwaukee before and we realized it’s under a 6 hour drive. We’re thinking about trying to visit in early September. Are there any must do’s while there? We are a lesbian couple, but not big into PDA, so lesbian/queer places would be neat to see but not a must. We are very easy going. Usually when we travel we like to go to the Zoo’s and/or aquarium’s, gardens/botanical centers, foodie places (is Milwaukee know for something specific we need to try?, best burger, best anything you think we should try), any speakeasy type venues. We happened on a random Jazz night/club on vacation once and it was a fun experience. We love all music aside from country music, favorite type of music probably being edm, jazz, rock. Any music stuff happening? Odd eclectic shops to visit? Parks to go to, scenic views/hikes? Please let me know all your recommendations, even if you might think it’s not for us, I would love to hear what you love about your city. Thank you for reading this and sharing your recommendations!
