New United Clubs DIA accessibility question
Due to some awkward flight scheduling, I have an EIGHT HOUR (!) layover coming up in DEN soon (I've looked at changing it and it would be over $700 to do so). I am hard of hearing, have a leg full of metal, and have had skull and neck surgery, which means I typically get shuttled from my arrival gate like a ham in a shopping cart and then plopped unceremoniously at my departure gate. Usually it's not a huge issue, but for an eight-hour stop it's a no-brainer for me to get a one-time pass. Two larger meals, a couple of drinks, and a snack, and it's basically paid for itself. Especially since it's also impossible for me to carry food around when I have my carry-on since I need a cane in my other hand. The comfort and security of leaving my bag in my line of sight but getting up to get food or a drink when I need to is worth it.
My question is this - does anyone know how easy it is to get around once I've settled in one of the huge new flagship lounges in B terminal? I've looked at a few videos but they all have cuts and focus on the more interesting parts - not so much the getting from one feature to another.
I assume the wheelchair porter is just going to leave me at the check-in counter. I've not been in either of them so I don't know if there's one reasonably comfortable spot I can settle in for many, many hours of mind-numbing boredom while still having easy access to food, coffee, possibly the bar, and definitely some bathrooms. Somewhere to elevate my leg would be incredible but I suspect the chairs with ottomans and a view of the apron will be full up by the time I get there.
Thanks so much in advance for reading this sad tired gimp's oddly specific inquiry!
